The workshop provides participants with the skills to run fun basketball sessions for young people.
This practical workshop, developed by StreetGames and England Basketball, introduces the basic techniques of the sport. Participants learn a range of basketball activities and games which help develop players understanding and skills. They also receive guidance on organising informal leagues and competitions.
Who is it for: Community sport project leaders, coaches and volunteers
Course prerequisites: StreetGames recommends that learners have completed one of the following:
- Any Level 1 NGB coaching qualification
- Any Level 2 NGB coaching qualification
- Any Level 3 NGB coaching qualification
- Level 2 Award in Community Sports Leadership – Sports Leaders UK
Minimum age: 16
Course duration: 3 hours
