Adapting to remote learning
The classes may be empty…but the learning continues!
The world around us is changing rapidly. As we all learn to cope with the ‘new normal’, businesses all over the country, including us, have had to work fast to adapt and modify their processes so that their services can continue.
Here at Train With Premier, we are lucky enough to already have excellent IT processes in place which have let us react quickly, efficiently and effectively. Building on what we already have has enabled us to continue to provide educational opportunities to the learners and apprentices we are privileged to support.
Accredited qualifications
Due to current social distancing restrictions, TWP have worked innovatively and collaboratively with Transcend Awards to design an online, remote learning version of the Transcend Level 2 Award for Holiday Club Activity Coaches in Multi-Sports as well as the Level 2 Award for Leading Inclusive Physical Activity (aka LIPA). Now being delivered via webinar sessions, these qualifications are the perfect addition to the repertoire of any young person starting their career in coaching.
As the national training partner to independent apprenticeship provider TVS Education, supporting apprentices is also of great importance to us. The Level 2 Award for Holiday Club Activity Coaches in Multi-Sports and LIPA webinars will also ensure that any apprentices who are currently furloughed can carry on making progress towards their qualification.
In addition, providing these qualifications remotely enables us to extend many cost-savings to learners and apprentice employers alike.
A two-day remote learning course benefits from:

- No additional travel time to the learner
- No additional travel cost to learner/employer

E-learning
Another remote learning opportunity which is picking up popularity in the active leisure, sports and wellbeing sector is our PE Confidence Bundle Series.
This bundle is a series of six entertaining modules that can easily be embedded into a wider learning programme.
This course is ideal for any student primary teachers, coaches delivering PE, sports or physical activity sessions in primary schools or any teaching staff timetabled to deliver primary PE activities who wish to continue CPD learning during lock-down.
Innovation
We are proud to once again be partnered with Transcend Awards to deliver two brand-new qualifications which have been specifically designed to support the nation during Covid-19 lockdown and homeschooling.
Our belief is that we should all come back stronger from this unprecedented situation, and by delivering the Level 1 Certificate in Immune System Boosting along with the Level 2 Certificate in Immune System Optimisation, we feel we are doing our bit to help the country achieve just that!
The Level 1 Certificate in Immune System Boosting is uniquely designed to support primary school children aged 7-11.
The Level 2 Certificate in Immune System Optimisation is a slightly more advanced course specifically for high school children and adults.
Both qualifications are delivered remotely over eight weeks with the focus of learning being on all-round wellness and immunity.
Virtual
Our most successful example of remote learning has been the creation of TWP TV, which was initiated to allow the continuance of learning for those we are supporting through lockdown.
Many of our learners are also working towards apprentices, and even though they may be furloughed, they must continue their studies so as not to jeopardise their journey to end-point-assessment.
TWP TV was initially devised as a series of online Microsoft Teams webinars, which received great attendance and feedback. We have since loaded all recordings of these webinars to the TWP TV Youtube channel for other learners, who are not currently registered with us, to benefit from.
